Last light in Socorro

O.K., this last light pic was not actually taken IN Socorro, because I drove about five miles south of town on a backroad seeking a better vantage point for sunset photos.

Boiling sky

But certainly in the Socorro neighborhood. And the sunset took second fiddle to the roiling clouds overhead, remnants of late afternoon thunderheads rolling in from the west.

I’ve got a lot of photo processing ahead of me now that I’ve returned from my New Mexico road trip – but thought this one provided a fitting adios to the region. More (LOTS more) to come.

    • One would have thought so, Gracie. In fact, after sunset everything began to disintegrate and no downpour was forthcoming. These desert/mountain storms are fickle creatures.
