Sidewalk photo safari

Saturday afternoon, following a good solid rain event, Anne and I welcomed  the clearing skies and cooling temperatures by venturing out for a walk.

Knowing that we’d have to avoid our favored nature trails due to mud, I nevertheless carried the camera along, on the lookout for whatever struck my photographer’s eye.

All I had to do, it turns out, was look down.

Wet cement

The sidewalks beneath our feet — once given the proper attention — presented us with a startlingly varied array of still lifes, there for the recording on my digital sensor.

These images are the result.

Casting the runes

Cameo

Overpopulation

Plate tectonics

Smear campaign
